'Chris and Olivia's' Super-8 Wedding Video London
Many congratulations to Olivia and Chris, a lovely couple from London for whom we were honoured to shoot a lovely wedding video for recently. The wedding was shot on 8mm Cine film, or Super 8 film as it is also known as.
We were incredibly excited to be shooting this wedding. Not only did it promise to be a wonderful day, but the locations allowed us to shoot some amazing Super 8 film in London, using Tower Bridge as a back-drop.
The day began with the bridal preparations at Olivia’s flat. Nerves and excitement were both present, perhaps in equal measure. With the help of Bridesmaids Sophie and Lauren, Olivia was soon ready for a departure to the church, and her beautiful dress looked amazing in the morning sunshine. Shooting people and outfits on occasions like this just looks fantastic on Super 8 film, and it was a wonderful introduction to the wedding video.
The wedding ceremony was to take place at St Etheldreda’s Church, the second oldest Roman Catholic Church in England. With the sun glinting through the majestic stained glass windows, the couple read out their vows in the presence of both families and best men William and Michael.
Following the ceremony, the new Mr and Mrs Dutta made their way to Butler’s Wharf Chop House on the South Bank. Butler’s Wharf gives some magnificent sweeping views of London Bridge and allowed for us to get some fantastic wedding film in London, a fitting back-drop to this couple’s perfect day.
As evening approached and the wedding party finished their drinks at Butler’s Wharf, it was a short journey to the Blue Print Café at London’s Design Museum for the wedding breakfast, preceded by some of the speeches.
The amazing setting was perfect for us once again to shoot the couple with a fantastic setting, while video of guests arriving and filling up on good times at the venue made for some great wedding cinematography.
The Blueprint Café was a fitting venue for the newly wedded couple, with floor-to-ceiling windows giving guests an incredible view of the capital city as daylight gave way to darkness, and London became illuminated. The dance floor also became illuminated, allowing us to shoot some entertaining footage of family and friends celebrating the night with their retro wedding video being shot every step of the way.
It was smiles aplenty and cameras at the ready for the first dance, captured in all its glory on our 8mm cine film. The cutting of the cake always looks magical on Super 8 film, and following these festivities the party was in full swing for the evening.
s8 films Olivia and Chris all the very best for their future, and hope they love the cine film wedding video in London as much as we loved shooting it.
